IDIT Corp. installed and maintains the ERP system on behalf of I-D Foods.

The system coordinates I-D Foods warehouse operations across Canada. This solution allowed I-D Foods to improve customer service, to reduce order entry and preparation time, to centralize control of credit and inventories and run the distribution business more efficiently. A key issue for ID-Foods was their unique and complex pricing structure. Next Generation provides the structure to support the flexibility.

IDIT Corp. developed and implemented a powerful Sales Force Automation tool, dubbed ID-PAD which it rolled out last year to the 75 salespeople in the field across Canada. This adjunct to the complete ERP package returned its initial investment in 8 months and has been hailed an unqualified success by all the stakeholders in this project. IDIT Corp. also computerized I-D Foods warehouse operations across Canada with a real-time warehouse management system. Using bar codes and radiofrequency scanners, I-D Foods is able to track stock and expiration dates. In addition, product recall management is now faster and more efficient.

The warehouse management system has increased shipping accuracy and eliminated errors in order preparation.

I-D Foods wanted an internal communication tool that would be fast, accessible to everyone and inexpensive. With over 400 employees across Canada, I-D Foods also wanted to standardize and computerize communication of hours to pay to the Pay Department. IDIT Corp. implemented a customized multi-module intranet site that simplifies the document sharing requirements of the organization.
